What is herbal infusion?
An herbal infusion is made by steeping one or more herbs in water for a period of time until the water absorbs the oils and flavors of the herbs. You can enjoy the beverage for either its flavors or for the possible benefits it may have for your health.
How do I brew Tejovial tea?
We recommend that you follow the specified brewing instructions that can be found on each Tejovial tea box. These instructions are also printed on the back of the individual Tejovial tea envelopes.
Are Tejovial teas caffeine-free?
All of our herbal teas are naturally caffeine-free, with the exception of a selection that includes black or green tea, which contain various quantities of caffeine by nature. The quantity of caffeine is specified in the Supplement Facts panel of caffeine-containing products.
Are Tejovial teas gluten-free?
All Tejovial teas are gluten-free.
Are Tejovial teas vegan?
All Tejovial teas are vegan.
Can I consume herbal tea during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Before using any of our teas, please read the warnings that can be found below the Supplement Panel on the side of the Tejovial tea box carefully, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, or are currently taking any medications.
What are Tejovial’s teabags made of?
Our NeoSoilon® PLA tea bags are made from sugarcane without GMOs.
Are your tea bags compostable?
Our tea bags are 100% commercially compostable.
Why can’t I compost the PLA tea bags in my garden?
Since our PLA tea bags are made from plant material (sugarcane), they are totally compostable; nevertheless, we do not recommend composting them in your garden. In order for them to properly decompose, they require a greater degree of heat, water, oxygen, and microorganisms than a typical home composting system can offer. Thus, it is recommended that you bring them to your local composting facility or place them in your compost collection bin if your community provides compost pick-up services.
Why are Tejovial tea bags wrapped in individual tea bag envelopes?
To preserve the flavors and freshness of our all-natural ingredients, we pack our teas in individually sealed envelopes.
Are your tea bag envelope compostable?
Our tea envelopes are made from FSC®-certified paper with a thin metallic layer, NatureFlex, that is compostable. The purpose of this thin film is to improve its moisture and gas barrier properties in order to prolong the shelf life of our herbal tea. They are 100% commercially compostable.
Are your tea box recyclable?
Our tea boxes are 100% recyclable. They are made from FSC®-certified card board and printed with vegetable-based inks. After you have enjoyed our tea, feel free to drop the box in your paper recycling bin.
